LessMenu is a digital hospitality and customer-engagement platform operated by Abr Alkon for Marketing, Jordan (“LessMenu”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, shared and protected when individuals use LessMenu websites, QR codes, digital menus, ordering services, reservations, loyalty programmes, Google Wallet passes, valet services, service requests and related LessMenu features.

LessMenu is used by independent restaurants, cafés, hotels, beach clubs, spas, salons, retailers and other businesses (“Participating Businesses”). Certain personal information is therefore processed in connection with the specific Participating Business with which the guest is interacting.

1. Information We May Collect

The information collected depends on the LessMenu service being used.

For guest-facing services, this may include your name, mobile number, email address where requested, reservation information, party size, booking date and time, order and table information, loyalty membership information, loyalty points and rewards, guest preferences that you voluntarily provide, service requests, support communications and other information necessary to provide the requested service.

When using LessMenu Loyalty, we may process your name, mobile number, programme membership, participating business, participating outlet, points balance, reward transactions and related programme activity.

When a Google Wallet loyalty pass is used, the pass may contain information such as the loyalty programme name, member name or identifier, points balance, reward status and the QR or digital credential required to identify the membership. Google Wallet is operated by Google and is also subject to Google’s own privacy terms.

When using LessMenu Valet, LessMenu may process a valet QR/NFC identifier, service status, request and delivery times, participating location and other operational information required to manage the valet request. A mobile number is not required merely to use the standard valet QR workflow unless a particular service expressly asks for one.

When using digital menu and ordering functions, LessMenu may process menu selections, modifiers, table or service-point information, cart/order details, service requests such as “Call Waiter” or “Request Bill”, and any guest information required by the Participating Business for order fulfilment.

When using reservations, LessMenu may process information such as name, mobile number, booking date and time, party size, reservation status and information voluntarily provided in connection with the booking.

For business owners, managers and staff, LessMenu may also process account details, business contact information, outlet information, staff roles, login and security information, configuration settings and records of authorised operational actions.

We may also automatically collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, security logs and diagnostic information required to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information only for legitimate and disclosed purposes, including providing the service requested by the guest or Participating Business; creating and managing reservations, orders, loyalty memberships and valet requests; calculating and recording loyalty points and rewards; maintaining Google Wallet passes; identifying a loyalty member when authorised; providing customer support; preventing misuse and fraud; maintaining security and audit records; improving reliability; and complying with applicable legal obligations.

Separate consent is used where a particular purpose requires it. For example, joining a loyalty programme does not automatically constitute consent to receive WhatsApp marketing or unrelated promotional communications.

3. Participating Businesses

A guest’s operational information is associated with the Participating Business with which the guest interacts.

Participating Businesses may access information reasonably necessary to deliver their own service, such as an order, reservation, loyalty programme or valet operation.

LessMenu is designed to separate Business Accounts. A business does not receive access to another independent business’s guest records, loyalty balances or operational information merely because both businesses use LessMenu.

Loyalty points are owned and issued by the individual Business Account. A guest may join multiple businesses using the same mobile number, but each programme remains separate.

4. Loyalty and Google Wallet

LessMenu Loyalty is an optional programme operated for participating businesses.

Points have no cash value unless expressly required otherwise by applicable law. Each participating business determines its own earning and redemption rules.

Abr Alkon for Marketing / LessMenu provides the technical infrastructure used to create and maintain digital loyalty passes. The participating business remains the issuer of its loyalty points and rewards.

Google Wallet is a third-party service provided by Google. Saving a LessMenu loyalty pass to Google Wallet is voluntary and subject to Google’s own terms and privacy practices.

Removing a pass from Google Wallet does not automatically delete the underlying loyalty membership.

5. Valet Services

LessMenu provides digital technology for submitting and managing valet requests.

LessMenu is not a valet parking company and does not itself take custody of vehicles.

The Participating Business or its valet operator remains responsible for the physical receipt, parking, handling, security and return of vehicles.

LessMenu may retain operational valet records where necessary for service integrity, security, dispute handling and legitimate business records.

6. Menu Orders and Payments

LessMenu may allow guests to browse menus, configure items, place or submit orders and request services.

The Participating Business is responsible for menu descriptions, prices, availability, preparation, fulfilment, taxes, service charges and delivery of the ordered goods or services.

Where payment functionality is provided through an external payment service, payment information may be processed directly by that provider under its own privacy policy. LessMenu does not intentionally request or store full payment-card credentials unless expressly disclosed.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

Information may be shared only where reasonably necessary with the relevant Participating Business, hosting and infrastructure providers, technology providers such as Google where a guest chooses Google Wallet, authorised support providers, or public authorities when disclosure is legally required.

Service providers are expected to process information only for the purposes for which it was provided and subject to appropriate safeguards.

8. International Processing

Some technology or infrastructure providers may process or store information outside Jordan.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, LessMenu will apply applicable legal requirements and appropriate safeguards.

Jordan’s Personal Data Protection framework permits transfers outside Jordan subject to applicable requirements concerning adequate protection and lawful processing.

9. Data Retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to operate the service, maintain required business records, resolve disputes, protect against fraud or abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Information that is no longer required will be deleted, anonymised or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law.

Jordan’s Personal Data Protection authorities state that personal data should not be retained after its purpose has been fulfilled unless retention is otherwise required by law.

10. Security

LessMenu uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss.

These measures include account and role controls, tenant separation, secure credentials, access restrictions, audit records and security controls appropriate to the service.

No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, obtain a copy, correct or update inaccurate information, withdraw consent, restrict certain processing, object to processing, request erasure or concealment, or request portability where applicable.

Jordan’s Personal Data Protection Law expressly recognises these rights.

Some information may need to be retained where required by law, necessary for legitimate dispute or security records, or otherwise permitted under applicable law.

To exercise a privacy right, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.

12. Cookies and Technical Storage

LessMenu may use cookies, browser storage and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, language selection, session continuity and service functionality.

Where non-essential analytics or marketing technologies are used, they should be handled according to applicable consent requirements.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when LessMenu services, technology or legal requirements change.

The current version will be published on this page with the updated date.
